Bonnie Brown dead at 77

Country Singer Bonnie Brown passed away on Saturday,  July 16, 2016 in Little Rock Ark of lung cancer.  She was the sister of country music legend Jim Ed Brown who died after a battle with cancer in June 2015.   Along with thier sister Maxine and brother Jim Ed, she was a member of the Browns who rose to fame in the 1950's.  Some of thier hits encluded "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" and "I Take the Change" and ofcourse the mega hit "The Three Bells."  They were inducted ito the "Country Music Hall of Fame" in 2015.

Merle Haggard dies on his 79 Birthday

Apr 6, 2016 - Country music legend Merle Haggard died in his home after battling double pneunomia .. . He had canceled tour dates in December then again in January after his bout with double pneumoniaL  He then canceled more shows in April per doctor's order..  Haggard was one of the most important and influential country hitmakers of his generation. He released a long string of deeply personal songs including “The Bottle Let Me Down,” “Branded Man,” “Sing Me Back Home,” “Mama Tried” and many more,

             Ramona Jones passes                                  Sonny James gone at 87

Ramona Jones died on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Goodlettsville, TN   She was 91 years old.  Romana was married 52 years to Grandpa Jones until his death in 1998. The two performed all over the world as well as appearing regularly on TV's Hee Haw show.

James died in hospice care Monday February 22,2016  in Nashville,
​ Tennessee, at the age of 87.
From 1960 to 1979, he spent 57 weeks at the top of the charts. 
James would hit No. 1 on the country chart a staggering 23 times in all.
He also had a streak of 16 straight No. 1 country hits from 1967 to 1971,
including "Need You" and "Here Comes Honey Again."   James was inducted
into the Hall of Fame in 2006
